Balancing the Scale: Relational Models to Advance Women in Leadership

Co-created by EquiLead in partnership with Dasra this report explores how relational models—mentorship sponsorship coaching and shadowing—can unlock women’s leadership potential in the impact sector. Despite women making up over half of entry-level roles their representation drops sharply at senior levels. Balancing the Scale highlights four key levers to address this gap: fostering developmental relationships skill and capability development fair hiring and promotion systems and flexibility for caregivers.

The Accessibility Toolkit

How do we make the presentation of art inclusive and accessible? The Accessibility Toolkit is a collaboration between students and faculty members of Humber College, and artists from Tangled Art + Disability (TAD). It is intended to inform and educate students, artists, arts organizations, curators, program directors, volunteers, and gallery staff. Developed by, and in consultation with, disability identified, Deaf and Mad artists, people with lived experience, curators and performers, this toolkit is one that art spaces can use to further develop and implement inclusive programming.

SMART Sheet

A SMART goal is a framework for defining objectives, where each goal is specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). Follow this method to establish clear, attainable goals that hold you accountable to a deadline. SMART goals are useful in all professional sectors and industries, as well as in personal life (see examples of personal and professional SMART goals below). Using this framework will help ensure that you are working toward clearly defined goals that you can execute by a deadline. Additionally, the SMART framework eliminates guesswork and back-and-forth among parties. It also helps individuals and teams track progress with pre-defined success metrics.

Purl

Purl, directed by Kristen Lester and produced by Gillian Libbert-Duncan, features an earnest ball of yarn named Purl who gets a job in a fast-paced, high energy, bro-tastic start-up. Yarny hijinks ensue as she tries to fit in, but how far is she willing to go to get the acceptance she yearns for, and in the end, is it worth it?
