About the organization

KPMG in India has one of the leading food and agribusiness consulting practices offering a wide range of services to private enterprises, State governments, PSUs, Central government institutions and international donor organizations. The services encompass the overall spectrum from strategizing to implementation, monitoring, evaluation, market led interventions and co creating an enabling ecosystem and unlocking value for our clients within the Agri and allied sectors. Our focus lies in providing apt and well-timed solutions to our clients despite the dynamic and heterogenous nature of the sector. With 100+ professionals having a significant and hands on experience across agriculture and allied value chains including but not limited to horticulture, dairy and animal husbandry, aquaculture, poultry, and a footprint in 10+ states and central government departments in India. The team is seeking an experienced professionals with exceptional interpersonal and technical skills that may include policy-based analysis, knowledge of trade, agricultural policies, and economics. The candidate should be able to drive and support the agenda of Agri and Allied Services practice of the firm both in India and globally and should have a deep technical understanding of the subject

About E&S (Education & skilling) Advisory

The Indian education and skill development sector has seen an accelerated growth and a rapid shift towards digital-learning models recently, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. This shift has bought about an increased requirement of digital assets, infrastructure, upskilling of teachers and content. With the requirement of tech-enabled learning solutions to only accelerate further, the Government is laying down new frameworks, and adopting an even more holistic and futuristic approach towards education and skill development.

The education and skill development practice of KPMG in India comprises a team of experienced professionals delivering forward-looking advisory services across the spectrum, such as K-12 education including Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), foundational literacy and numeracy skills, Technical and Vocational Education, and Training (TVET), higher education, education technology, and supplementary education.

We are a part of the KPMG Connected Enterprise for higher education and a key member of the KPMG Global Steering Committee for education and skill development. Our team has delivered multiple engagements in the past decade, catering to a wide range of clients, including the central and state governments, regulators, public institutions, private educational institutions, corporates, not-for profit organizations, with bilateral and multi- lateral donors, International Financial Institutions (IFIs), foundations and ed-tech players.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Contribute to project delivery as guided by Associate Directors/Managers in the design, development, and delivery of business advice/solutions to help clients achieve their business objectives.
  • Leadership: Independently lead project modules and guide Consultants, Associate Consultants, and Analysts in their delivery.
  • Curiosity and Initiative: Demonstrate a high degree of curiosity and the ability to go beyond the current/immediate brief.
  • Business Awareness: Maintain high business awareness and general information on sectors/solutions, focusing on productive work.
  • Analytical Skills: Exhibit attention to detail and the ability to structure arguments/thoughts analytically.
  • Client Engagement: Effectively engage clients in discussions related to project delivery, providing new perspectives and insights.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, especially in presentations.
  • Thought Leadership: Prepare Thought Leadership materials and contribute to practice development.
  • Team Development: Counsel teams and individuals by defining and implementing developmental plans to meet the future needs of the firm.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant consulting experience, largely in the education sector.
  • Understanding of the education and skill sector value chain, with knowledge of the regulatory and legal environment.
  • Prior experience working in the education sector is preferred.
  • Exposure to key stakeholders in the education/skill development sector in India is an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

Master’s degree in Education, Management, or other relevant disciplines.
