About Project - Punjab CCI
The project is currently being implemented across five districts of Punjab in six Child Care Institutions (CCIs) for Children in Need of Care and Protection aged 6-18 years and one Home that houses 'Girls in Transition' aged 11-18 years in Jalandhar. The project aims to work through interventions of academic support and art-integrated well-being sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct sessions on mental well-being and social-emotional learning sessions.
- Facilitate communication of children with parents/guardians.
- Training CCI staff on wellbeing-related concepts.
- Coordinate with external tutors to provide academic support to children.
- Sensitize and build positive relationships with all stakeholders (staff, government departments, the Child Welfare Committee, and families).
Documentation
- Document details of sessions conducted, and the progress of each child in the program, maintain records, attendance, registers, case journals, etc.
- Record success stories and artifacts for newsletters, presentations and other program-related materials regularly for documentation purposes.
Assessments
- Coordinate with the Research and Impact (R&I) team for monitoring and evaluation of the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
- Proven experience in facilitating sessions with children, especially adolescent ages.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
