About EGov Foundation
eGov is a global, mission-driven organization and a catalyst for digital transformation in public service delivery. We are a multi-disciplinary team of technologists, policy thinkers, program specialists, and problem solvers united by a shared mission — to reimagine how essential public services are designed and delivered, making them equitable, accessible, and transparent for all. Our open-source platform, DIGIT, enables countries to build and scale digital public infrastructure (DPI) across sectors like health, sanitation, water, public finance, and climate. We collaborate closely with governments, communities, and ecosystem partners to drive sustainable, at-scale transformation. Over the past two decades, eGov has partnered with 10+ countries and 2,600+ towns and cities in India, improving the lives of over 1.8 billion people. We’ve helped power national missions, deliver billions of vaccine certificates, and support governments to design and sustain digital infrastructure needed to deliver public services at scale.

Overview of the Role
At eGov, we believe that ideas only create impact when they are captured, communicated, and shared effectively. As the Program Communications & Advocacy Lead, you will own how programs are understood by governments, partners, and citizens. From program blueprints to advocacy campaigns, you will ensure eGov’s work is articulated with clarity, credibility, and inspiration. You will be working on the Manhole to Machinehole (M2M) initiative, an effort to end unsafe manual scavenging by enabling Indian cities to transition to safe, mechanized desludging. You will be responsible for shaping how the M2M story is told - through reports, training materials, advocacy content, and ecosystem engagement.
Job Description
• Leading program communications and documentation for the Manhole to Machinehole initiative, ensuring consistency and impact.
• Creating program documents, reports, and training modules that serve as reference points for governments, NGOs, and partners.
• Designing and delivering compelling content for ecosystem interactions, workshops, and advocacy.
• Producing multimedia outputs e.g., videos, infographics, presentations, experience center, that make complex ideas simple and persuasive.
• Ensuring learnings from programs like M2M are captured, institutionalized, and shared to influence broader public systems.
Required & Preferred Qualifications

• Brings creativity to design unconventional, impactful outputs, whether that’s an interactive journey map, a video, or a powerful report, and be well-versed with tools like Adobe, video editing, PowerPoint, etc.
• Storyteller with excellent communication skills who takes ownership of how eGov’s work is understood, shared, and scaled to make real-world impact.
Experience
A communications leader with 5-10 years of experience in strategic communications who can turn complex ideas into stories that inspire action.
