About Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN)


PRADAN (Professional Assistance for Development Action) is a non-government non-profit organisation that works with India’s rural poor. Across seven of the poorest states in the country PRADAN professionals engage with disadvantaged communities to help them emerge from poverty and lead a life of dignity. PRADAN promotes Self-Help Groups develops locally relevant economic activities mobilises finances from government schemes and introduces models to improve livelihoods of the marginalised communities and sustain their progress. As of 31st March 2023 PRADAN along with partners impacted the lives of 2.64 million rural households spread across 25421 villages in 575 community development blocks 133 districts and 8 states of India.


Overview of the Role


Responsible for managing and maintaining program data for the work unit, supporting annual planning and reporting, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry into PRADAN’s MIS. The role includes training and supervising Community Data Collectors, validating data for authenticity, testing and implementing data collection tools, and coordinating with the central MIS team to improve system functionality.

Job Description


• Prepare and Maintain database on of all programmes and interventions in the operational area of the work unit
• Provide data to support the work unit in annual planning and progress reporting processes
• Make required entries in PRADAN’s online Management Information System (MIS) for the work unit. Share feedback on functionality of the online applications to the system admin.
• Implement PRADAN’s data collection procedures and protocols.
• Test data collection modules and roll out the same in the work unit
• Train, handhold and Supervise Community Data Collectors for data collection and validations
• Ensure data collection timely including for research and studies
• Ensure data authenticity by conducting data validation exercises
• Work closely with CENMIS groups to incorporate changes in MIS and accordingly orient CDCs (Community Data Collectors) and Team members
• Additional data keeping in the available form at HH level for the project requirement data analysis


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Ability to work as a team member with proactive participation in
team events including meetings.
• Proficient at prioritizing task & deliverables.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Good Writing, analytical & communication skills.
• Able to read, write and speak Kannada (will be given high
preference).

Education

Minimum qualification Bachelor of Computer Science or Bachelor of Computer Application

Experience

Candidates having minimum of 2 years of experiences on similar fields will be given preference.
