Overview of the Role
The Biostatistician will manage and analyze research data to support high-quality scientific studies. The role involves creating analytical plans, ensuring data quality, reviewing grant proposals from a statistical perspective, and assisting investigators with data interpretation, report writing, and maintaining scientific rigor. Clear communication of findings and contribution to institutional capacity building in biostatistics are essential.
Job Description
• Organize and analyse data sets, develop models, and address related statistical issues
• Perform statistical analysis on abstracts, datasets, and other project-related information
• Assist investigators in data analysis and report writing
• Perform sample size calculations for studies
• Develop analytical plans and analysis templates
• Review new grant proposals from a biostatistical perspective
• Help develop institutional capacity in biostatistics
• Undertake data monitoring and ensure data quality checks
• Assist investigators in ensuring the scientific rigor and conduct of studies
• Perform statistical analysis using STATA, SPSS, or R software
• Communicate analysis results clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Any other task assigned by the Supervisor & Project PI

Ph.D. in Biostatistics / Statistics / Mathematics or MPH M.A./M.Sc. in Biostatistics / Statistics / Mathematics
