About GoodBye Leprosy (GBL)

GoodBye Leprosy (GBL) is an alliance of civil society organizations working to help end leprosy in India and serve people affected by leprosy. Leprosy in India is far from over. India accounts for over 50% of the total new cases registered worldwide. The government declared that leprosy was no longer a public health problem in 2005. This is different from ‘no-leprosy’. Consequently, this resulted in reduced government and public focus, funding, and support.
