Overview of the Role
To build its portfolio of work in the girl capital domain at the state level, IPE Global is hiring a Communications and Campaign Expert to design and lead a dynamic state-level campaign to increase female participation in paid jobs. The expert will drive strategic communications that challenge gender norms, inspire action, and strengthen the visibility of women’s economic contributions.
Job Description
• Lead the design and delivery of comprehensive state-level campaigns to promote young women’s participation in the workforce, addressing social norms, building awareness of aspirational job roles, and associated skilling opportunities available to them.
• Create customisable templates for adoption at the district level, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all platforms and materials.
• Create compelling and emotionally resonant campaign narratives to promote women’s participation in skilling and jobs in collaboration with various departments.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders, implementation partners, and the national team to ensure campaigns align with project goals and resonate with diverse audiences.
• Build partnerships with influencers, media outlets, and other collaborators to build public support and maximise outreach for the campaigns.
• Organise state-wide events to launch campaigns.
• Conduct and monitor post-campaign evaluations, including data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and impact assessment reports, to identify areas of improvement, trends, gaps, and opportunities.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
• Strategic Communication and language proficiency: Ability to frame and deliver persuasive messages that foster inclusion, challenge bias, and shift social narratives in the local language of the state (Marathi/ Hindi/ Tamil)
• Cultural Competency: Sensitive to local languages, dialects, and gendered norms, especially across rural and urban parts of the respective States.
• Innovation and Creativity: Brings fresh thinking to campaign development and adapts to emerging media and youth engagement trends.
• Collaborative Leadership: Skilled in navigating cross-sectoral relationships with humility, purpose, and equity.
Education
Master’s degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in strategic communications, public campaigns, or advocacy, ideally with a gender equity or development focus. • Proven expertise in leading multimedia campaigns that drive social and behaviour change, particularly in complex cultural contexts. • Strong experience in building coalitions with government stakeholders, community-based organizations, and private partners.
