Overview of the Role
Manage and nurture client relationships with companies, corporate foundations, and philanthropic foundations to ensure overall client delight.| Support clients in strategy and program design, partner identification, KPI mapping, and impact portfolio management.| Oversee on-ground monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure alignment with client goals.| Assist clients in effectively using the CSR management tech platform for improved efficiency and reporting.| Work from the client’s office to understand and deliver day-to-day operational tasks related to the CSR function.| Apply knowledge of the CSR and impact ecosystem, including applicable standards and laws, in project execution.| Deliver client value through data-driven insights and leverage tech products for impact measurement and reporting.
Job Description
• Serve as an integral member of the client’s CSR team working out of their office and understand the client’s CSR vision to support in developing an action roadmap aligned to their CSR goals.
• Deliver high-quality reports, insights, and updates to the client by regularly engaging with NGO partners and internal teams at the client office and Give Grants.
• Keep up with the updates in the CSR ecosystem and social development space to ably guide the client as needed.
• Help the client design or restructure programs and program indicators in line with their intent to deliver real, measurable, sustainable impact.
• Analyse data from multiple sources including the technology platform to derive actionable insights for all stakeholders and share data-backed insights with the client regarding their programs.
• Undertake secondary research of the CSR and impact landscape including peer research to provide insights and trends to the client.
• Over time, develop depth of knowledge and expertise within specific sub-verticals of the development landscape.
• Maintain close coordination with the client’s CSR team, finance team, and NGO partners for timely delivery of tasks and services as per the scope of work.
• Timely raise internal requests to ensure that the overall project plan and objectives are met.
• Develop an understanding of tech products to provide appropriate guidance to client teams.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of thought-leadership content through creation of reports, articles, podcasts, and other knowledge products as appropriate.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
• Strong domain knowledge of CSR rules and understanding of the CSR ecosystem in India is essential.
• Knowledge in national priority areas such as skilling, healthcare, maternal and child health, and climate change will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with keen attention to detail are required.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word with strong data analysis capabilities.
• Excellent soft skills including client communication, project management, relationship building, stakeholder management, and client influencing are essential.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment with a strong commitment to ethical practices, social justice, and advancing positive social outcomes is expected.
• A bias toward action and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines is necessary.
Education
Graduate or post-graduate from top-tier institutes with a strong academic background, preferably in economics, development studies, sociology, social work, or allied fields though not essential.
Experience
3–5 years of experience with exposure to CSR or the development sector is preferred.
