Overview of the Role


The MEL Manager will be a senior team member responsible for providing end-to-end Monitoring Evaluation and Learning support across one or more programs. The role involves close collaboration with program teams partners and stakeholders to ensure evidence-based implementation performance tracking and continuous learning. The position demands analytical strength field experience strategic thinking and strong documentation capabilities.

Job Description


- Program Support

Develop and strengthen MEL frameworks across various Nasscom Foundation program verticals.
Oversee project monitoring activities; design and conduct evaluations – internal or with external consultants/agencies to generate actionable insights for program improvement.
Build the capacity of internal teams and implementing partners on MEL concepts and data systems.
Strengthen data management and analysis mechanisms; support quality assurance and timely reporting.
Manage data repositories and maintain institutional MEL documentation for compliance and reporting.
Conduct field visits and periodic project reviews to ensure quality implementation.
7. Develop knowledge products including impact stories learning briefs and white papers to inform stakeholders.

- Strategic Engagement

Support the Director – MEL and senior leadership in designing and executing policy-relevant research to establish sectoral thought leadership.
Represent Nasscom Foundation in conferences submission of abstracts and participation in knowledge exchange platforms to promote cross-learning.
Support verticals such as Fundraising Partnerships and Communications with data-driven insights and impact narratives.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

- Technical MEL Skills
Strong understanding of Monitoring Evaluation and Learning frameworks and tools.
Expertise in designing and implementing MEL plans for diverse program types.

- Analytical and Strategic Thinking
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights.
Ability to think strategically about program improvement learning agendas and policy-relevant research.

- Capacity Building and Facilitation
Experience in training and building the MEL capacity of internal teams and implementing partners.
Ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.

- Communication and Documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to develop high-quality knowledge products such as learning briefs white papers and impact stories.

- Project Management
Strong organizational and project management skills to oversee MEL activities across multiple programs.
Ability to manage timelines deliverables and ensure quality assurance in reporting.

Education

Bachelors or Masters in a relevant field.
