Overview of the Role


Harsha Trust is seeking a passionate and experienced District/Thematic Coordinator to lead and oversee the effective implementation of rural development programs across a cluster of districts or thematic areas. Based in Odisha or Chhattisgarh the Coordinator will play a strategic role in project management team leadership capacity building and stakeholder engagement to advance the organizations mission of improving the quality of life of rural poor communities.

Job Description


- Managing project at district level
Develop Block level management plans to be incorporated in the district level work plans for effective coordination at district levels
Oversee the implementation of the organisation’s goals objectives and programs and ensure alignment with strategic plans
Ensure the timely and effective implementation of the concern projects management plans.
Properly utilization of funds within the timeline given by funding agency
Coordination and Liaisioning with Block and district administration govt officials
Facilitating in Fund raising initiatives.
Ensure timely submit deliverables/reports of concern projects
Establishes and maintains liaison with relevant external professional financial and governmental bodies
Facilitates coordinates monitors and reviews the operations in the district/function.
Provide support to the ED for preparation of project relevant reports or any other tasks assigned.

- Data collection and capacity building:
Facilitating with the help of team for Collecting primary/secondary data /information relevant to the project activities.
Periodically monitor progress and landscape level and report back on developments to the Head office.
Identified the needs for capacity building of staff to meet the organization needs and plan accordingly for the same

- Stakeholder management
Coordinate and work closely with all officials relevant to project activities at district block and panchayat level.
Ensuring participation of women youth and marginalized groups fully in livelihoods activities and decision-making processes at Panchayat Block and District level.
Responsible for daily project management – both organizational and substantive matters – budgeting planning and general monitoring of the project.
Responsible for facilitating monthly review of the program by ED
Responsible for donors’ compliances and reporting


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

- Expertise in project coordination management and development.
- Excellent knowledge of the NGO field relevant government regulations and policies.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Ability of multi-tasking with high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

Master’s degree in Social Work Social Science Business Administration

Experience

6 years of education in a time bound manner). Having more than 10 years of relevant experience particularly in the field of holistic rural development and in livelihood interventions.
