Evangelical Social Action Forum (ESAF) was formed as a response to the widening partiality of prosperity in society. We partner with government agencies community bodies NGOs and corporates to deliver lasting change to the poor and the marginalised especially women and children. Driven by the vision for a just and fair society our interventions are based on a social business model focussing on creating livelihood opportunities for the underprivileged. One of the pioneers in forming women self-help groups ESAF has more than 3.3 million SHG members who are agents of social transformation in their communities. Overview of the Role
ESAF Foundation is seeking passionate and driven professionals to serve as District Coordinators for the Livable Cities India project in Ernakulam and Trivandrum. This initiative aims to transform urban public spaces into inclusive accessible and environmentally friendly environments through community-centered research and advocacy.
Job Description
- Lead advocacy initiatives with Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) government departments and civil society organizations (CSOs)
- Coordinate and monitor urban development and CSR projects implemented by ESAF Foundation
- Conduct field research prepare detailed reports and manage financial documentation
- Ensure effective communication in both English and Malayalam – spoken and written
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - mandatory
- Strong advocacy and networking skills
- Experience in project coordination monitoring and evaluation (M&E)
- Basic knowledge of urban planning urban development policies and city governance frameworks
- Proficient in report writing research and analytical thinking
Education
Master of Social Work (MSW) / or related fields
Experience
Minimum 3 years in the social development sector
