Overview of the Role
Waatavaran is expanding its team to strengthen our resource mobilization and grant writing capabilities. We are seeking two passionate professionals: Fundraising Lead – A strategic thinker with experience in driving fundraising efforts and leading proposal development.
Job Description
- Identify and seize funding opportunities through strategic donor research and building a robust fundraising pipeline.
- Lead the development of comprehensive high-quality grant proposals including project design budgets timelines and outcomes.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to gather relevant inputs track requirements and manage proposal timelines.
- Represent Waatavaran in donor meetings pitches and networking events to communicate program value and impact.
- Contribute to the organisation’s fundraising strategy and systems development for long-term resource mobilisation.
- Maintain donor relationships and reporting ensuring compliance and timely communication.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in English.
- Proficiency in budget development and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and lead independently.
Education
Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences Management or related fields.
Experience
4–6 years of experience in fundraising donor engagement and proposal development in the development sector.
