About India Labourline

India Labourline (ILL) is an access-to-justice organization committed to safeguarding the rights of unorganised sector workers. Through mediation, legal aid, and other mechanisms, ILL addresses labour rights violations and empowers workers to claim their entitlements. A key part of our work involves Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), enabling workers to secure what is rightfully theirs. Since its inception in July 2021, ILL has registered over 23,000 labour rights cases, successfully resolving more than 40% in favor of workers. This has resulted in the recovery of over INR 230 million in unpaid wages, compensation, and social security entitlements—amounts that would have been otherwise lost without ILL’s intervention. Our program operates through a network of Workers Facilitation Centers in 14 cities and a toll-free helpline (offering services in six languages) to register and mediate labour disputes, ensuring access to justice for unorganised workers across India.
