Overview of the Role


The District Support Managers will be responsible for day-to-day coordination, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of the project role out at the district level. The project is focused on the strengthening the maternal nutrition interventions including cash scheme and social behaviour change communication platforms with focus on positive pregnancy outcome. The role ensures effective translation of district level strategies into district action plan, strong government convergence at district level, timely reporting, management of sub-district staff and quality delivery.

Job Description


Programme Implementation & Coordination
• Support rollout of district specific SOPs and workplans at district and sub-district levels.
• Coordinate with government officials at the district and block levels, and allied departments for smooth implementation.
• Ensure alignment of field activities with project timelines, targets, and indicators and regular updating of project MIS in coordination with other data sources
• Facilitate district-level review meetings and follow-ups with the sub-district teams and timely participation in district and block meetings.
• Implement and execute supportive supervision activities at the facility and household level and ensure timely meeting of targets and program achievements

Supervision & Monitoring
• Supervise Implementation support Officers and provide handholding and supervisory support for effective implementation of program activities.
• Monitor district performance against key indicators (enrolment, utilisation, SBCC reach).
• Conduct periodic field visits and provide implementation feedback to state team.
• Identify bottlenecks and escalate issues with actionable recommendations.

Capacity Building & SBCC Support
• Support organisation of trainings, orientations, and refresher sessions for block teams and frontline workers.
• Coordinate district-level SBCC and awareness activities in collaboration with state teams.
• Ensure contextualisation of materials and messages for district needs.
• Participate in the trainings and implementation of sample-based surveys planned as per the project deliverables
• Lead and drive the quality assurance surveys at the districts level

Reporting & Documentation
• Compile and submit monthly and quarterly district progress reports.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, and timeliness from blocks.
• Support documentation of best practices, learnings, and case studies.
• Participate in state level review meetings

Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as district-level interface between CKD, government officials, NGOs, and partners.
• Support district participation in state and national dissemination events.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Education

Postgraduate/graduate degree in Public Health / Social Sciences / Development / Management

Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in social development/ public health or nutrition programmes • Experience working with district government systems preferred • Experience of working with government officials at the district level and supporting the ongoing programs • Experience of managing large scale implementation, MIS and teams
