Overview of the Role


Lead IILM’s external engagement, policy outreach, and institutional positioning. Represent IILM with government, regulators, industry bodies, and international partners to strengthen visibility and influence in higher education.

Job Description


• Build and manage relationships with UGC, AICTE, Ministry of Education and other regulators, as well as FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM and similar bodies.
• Track higher education policy (including NEP 2020) and position IILM as a thought leader through forums, policy inputs, media, and events.
• Lead advocacy initiatives aligned with the UN SDGs and IILM’s mission.
• Develop partnerships with NGOs, international institutions, and corporate CSR teams.
• Work with communications and leadership teams to enhance reputation and brand visibility.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Strong understanding of India’s higher education and policy landscape; excellent stakeholder management and networking skills.
• Effective communicator with a strategic, proactive, and execution-oriented mindset.
• Retired senior bureaucrats and former regulators with relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Education

Master’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, Communications, Economics, or related fields.

Experience

12+ years of experience in public affairs, policy advocacy, government relations, communications, or institutional relations.
