Overview of the Role


The Regional Manager – Placement is responsible for leading and managing placement operations across the assigned region. This includes building strong employer partnerships, ensuring placement targets are met, improving student job-readiness, and coordinating with state and centre-level teams to ensure effective implementation of the placement strategy. The role ensures uniformity, transparency, and performance-driven placement outcomes across all centres within the region.

Job Description


• Implement the national placement strategy within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with DB Tech’s mission and project requirements.
• Develop region-specific placement plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Strengthen job-readiness and retention-focused practices across all centres.
• Build and maintain partnerships with regional, national, and local companies to secure job opportunities for trainees.
• Conduct employer visits, industry meetings, job fairs, and campus recruitment drives.
• Identify new sectors and employers to expand placement opportunities within the region.
• Supervise and guide State Placement Managers (SPMs), Placement Executives, and Centre Placement Coordinators.
• Set performance expectations and monitor the achievement of placement KPIs for state and centre teams.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to ensure effective employer engagement and student placement.
• Ensure proper documentation of placement processes including offer letters, appointment records, salary proofs, and verification calls.
• Monitor student participation in interviews, shortlisted candidates, selections, joining ratio, and retention.
• Coordinate pre-placement talks, mock interviews, employer orientations, and job-readiness workshops.
• Oversee the regional placement data entry on MIS portals and ensure accuracy and real-time updates.
• Analyse placement trends, gaps, and performance patterns to recommend improvements.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly placement reports for senior management.
• Conduct regular field visits to centres for placement audits, employer outreach, and job-readiness support.
• Ensure centres are following the national placement framework, documentation guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
• Represent DB Tech in regional job fairs, CSR forums, placement conclaves, and networking events.
• Ensure timely alumni tracking, retention monitoring, and post-placement follow-up.
• Implement initiatives to improve 30–90 day retention and overall placement success rates.
Address grievances, workplace issues, and provide guidance for smooth placement outcomes.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and spoken English; familiarity with regional language is essential.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region

Experience

6 - 8 years of experience in placements, recruitment, talent acquisition, or corporate relations - preferably in skilling/education sector.
