The Quality Education and Skills Training (QUEST) Alliance is a not for profit trust that focuses on research-led innovation and advocacy in the field of teaching and learning. It engages with multiple stakeholders to demonstrate and enable scalable solutions in education and vocational training using Information and Communication Technology (ICT). We provide children & youth, age 10-30, a set of real-world skills along with opportunities to build confidence in a fun and engaging way that prepares them for work and life.


Overview of the Role


The Learning Experience (LE) Manager – Karnataka plays a strategic leadership role in shaping, strengthening, and scaling high-quality learning experiences across government secondary schools in the state. The role is responsible for translating Quest Alliance’s organisational vision and Schools Program strategy into coherent, future-ready curricula, capacity-building journeys, and implementation support systems aligned with Karnataka’s state priorities. A key focus of this role is (1) development of Future Skills curriculum and (2) anchoring and managing content development for the Life Skills Collaborative, while also providing leadership across Computational Thinking (CT), Career Readiness, and related learning experience initiatives. The LE Manager will work closely with the State Education Department, consortium partners, and internal teams to ensure pedagogical rigor, contextual relevance, and scalability.

Job Description


Strategic Learning & Program Design
• Translate organisational and state program strategies into actionable learning experiences across Future Skills, Life Skills, Computational Thinking, and Career pathways.
• Lead the design and evolution of a Future Skills curriculum aligned with adolescent and youth needs, state priorities, and national frameworks (NEP, NCF, SCF).
• Integrate insights from field visits, teacher feedback, learner data, and program reviews into curriculum design and pedagogical decisions.
• Co-design workshops, pilots, and small change projects with schools, districts, and state stakeholders to support adoption and systems integration.

Content Development & Curriculum Ownership
• Anchor and manage content development for the Life Skills Collaborative, ensuring coherence, quality, and alignment across partners.
• Oversee end-to-end processes for content creation, curation, adaptation, review, and iteration across online and offline formats.
• Develop curriculum outlines, scope-and-sequence documents, session plans, facilitator guides, and learner resources as per the state roadmap.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and external agencies for content development and ensure adherence to Quest Alliance’s pedagogy and quality standards.
• Lead curriculum review and validation processes with KRIES, SCERT, SSA, and other state bodies as per the state plan.

Capacity Building & Learning Journeys
• Design and facilitate capacity-building journeys for teachers, master trainers, school leaders, government officials, LSC partners, and internal teams.
• Anchoring state-level trainings, workshops, webinars, and reflective learning spaces.
• Build pedagogical, facilitation, and thematic depth within the internal state team through mentoring, coaching, and structured learning processes.
• Ensure strong feedback loops from trainings and classroom implementation inform content and program improvements.

Consortium & Partnership Management
• Support state program manager in managing the Life Skills Collaborative.
• Contribute to collaborative strategy, shared roadmaps, and joint learning agendas on behalf of Quest Alliance.
• Build and sustain Communities of Practice (CoPs) for educators, master trainers, and government stakeholders to deepen adoption and long-term impact.
• Collaborate with the State Education Department and allied institutions for curriculum alignment, reviews, and policy engagement.

Program Implementation Support
• Provide learning-design leadership to implementation teams to ensure scale with quality.
• Support planning and facilitation of ideathons, hackathons, showcases, and experiential learning events.
• Mentor teachers and associates on computational thinking, problem-solving frameworks, life skills facilitation, and learner-centered pedagogy.
• Integrate learnings from implementation into future curriculum and strategy cycles.

Team Leadership & Internal Capacity Building
• Lead, mentor, and coach LE team members, training officers, and coordinators in Karnataka.
• Plan and support team capacity-building pathways focused on pedagogy, facilitation, ed-tech integration, and thematic expertise.
• Foster a culture of reflection, collaboration, feedback, and continuous learning within the team.

Data, Reporting & Reviews
• Work closely with M&E and data focal points to align monitoring frameworks with curriculum and capacity-building design.
• Analyse implementation and learning data to generate actionable insights for program refinement and strategic decisions.
• Anchor state-level L4 reviews related to learning experience, ensuring quality analysis, documentation, and follow-through.
• Ensure timely availability of content-related inputs for donor reports, reviews, and internal planning.

Systems, Compliance & Self-Learning
• Ensure adherence to Quest Alliance systems, policies, and processes (HR, Finance, IT, etc.).
• Undertake regular field visits to stay connected with on-ground realities and emerging needs.
• Identify personal learning goals and model continuous learning within the team.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Consortium-based curriculum development.
• Demonstrated experience working with State Education Departments, SCERTs, and large-scale cascade training models.
• Strong pedagogical grounding and ability to translate concepts into engaging, learner-centered content.
• Data fluency—ability to interpret implementation and learning data and translate it into design decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills (English required; Kannada preferred).
• High IT literacy, including familiarity with digital learning platforms and ed-tech tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the state.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Education

Relevant postgraduate qualification in Education, Social Sciences, STEM, Psychology, or related fields.

Experience

• 9–10+ years of experience in large-scale program design, curriculum/content development, and educator capacity building within government school systems. • Strong hands-on experience in Future Skills, Life Skills, Computational Thinking, coding, or STEM education (non-negotiable). • Experience managing multi-stakeholder content initiatives or
