Overview of the Role


The AVP, Treasury Operations Oversight will be an individual contributor within the Treasury Risk Oversight team, which is part of the Finance and Treasury Risk organization. This position plays an instrumental role in enforcing the team’s oversight of operational risks associated with Treasury operations, including effectiveness of controls in its processes, risk assessment of payment related strategic initiatives, and issue management. The position holder will interact frequently with Treasury teams and Enterprise Risk.

Job Description


• Lead or support targeted reviews of Treasury processes focused on operational risk, controls and critical-to-compliance (CTC) testing per annual monitoring plan, or on an ad hoc basis as instructed
• Lead or support concurrent or post-implementation reviews of milestones of strategic initiatives, e.g., Payment Hub, and NACHA related initiatives in particular
• Manage issues relating to Treasury operational risk, including issues tiering, opening, action plan tracking, and closing
• Cover enterprise-wide risk activities including but not limited to risk assessment questionnaire (RAQ), process risk control self-assessment (PRCSA), enterprise risk assessment (ERA), and risk aggregation reporting (RAR)
• Prepare and collect materials pertinent to Treasury Risk for quarterly Financial Risk Working Group (FRWG) meetings in collaboration with FTR leadership and cross-functional teams
• Support FTR tasks as assigned, e.g., biweekly market updates, regulatory exams, internal audits, annual limits refresh, etc.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Working knowledge of payment systems and technology
• Understanding of NACHA operating rules
• Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP) credential

Education

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 5+ years’ of experience in operational risk management in Finance or Treasury operations, or in related supporting roles within a large financial institution are required. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 7+ years’ of relevant experience is required. 3 years of ACH (Automatic Clearance Services) experience."

Experience

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 5+ years’ of experience in operational risk management in Finance or Treasury operations, or in related supporting roles within a large financial institution are required.
