Overview of the Role


The Manager – CSR Programs will be responsible for managing and implementing multi-sector CSR projects with a strong focus on Waste Management, Agriculture, Watershed Development, Eco-village models, Bio-composting, Health, Education, and Civil Infrastructure. The role requires close coordination with corporates, government bodies, implementation partners, and community stakeholders. The incumbent will lead end-to-end project execution, proposal development, monitoring & evaluation, and team management across assigned geographies.

Job Description


1. Program Planning & Implementation
• Lead end-to-end implementation of CSR projects across thematic areas including waste management, agriculture, watershed, eco-villages, bio-composting, health, education, and civil infrastructure.
• Develop detailed implementation plans, timelines, and work plans in alignment with project objectives and CSR guidelines.
• Ensure timely execution of activities with high-quality delivery and impact orientation.

2. Proposal Development & Budgeting
• Prepare concept notes, detailed project proposals, budgets, and presentations for corporate and foundation partners.
• Support costing, budget tracking, and utilization planning as per approved proposals.
• Ensure financial discipline and alignment with CSR compliance requirements.

3. Stakeholder Management & Government Liaisoning
• Liaise with government departments, local authorities, and Panchayati Raj institutions for approvals, convergence, and smooth project execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, implementation partners, NGOs, and community leaders.
• Represent CSRBOX in stakeholder meetings, reviews, and field-level discussions.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
• Track project progress against defined outputs, outcomes, and timelines.
• Lead monitoring visits and periodic field reviews to ensure quality implementation.
• Prepare and review periodic progress reports, impact assessments, case studies, and donor reports.
• Ensure accurate documentation and data collection for M&E purposes.

5. Team Management & Capacity Building
• Manage and mentor project teams, field coordinators, and implementation partners.
• Conduct regular review meetings and provide guidance to improve performance and efficiency.
• Support capacity building of partners and field teams as required.

6. Research & Knowledge Management
• Conduct sectoral research and need assessments to strengthen program design.
• Identify best practices, innovative models, and scalable interventions across sectors.
• Contribute to organizational knowledge assets and learning documentation.

7. Travel & Field Engagement
• Undertake extensive field travel across project locations as per program requirements.
• Engage directly with communities to ensure participatory planning and implementation.

8. Other Responsibilities
• Support organizational initiatives, audits, compliance requirements, and reviews.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management from time to time.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and report-writing abilities.
• Sound understanding of CSR regulations, compliance, and implementation models.
• Ability to work independently in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Mandatory: Proficiency in the local language of the assigned location.
• Willingness for extensive travel.

Education

Master’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Environmental Studies, Development Studies, Public Policy, Agriculture, Sustainability, or related fields.

Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in CSR program implementation or development sector projects. • Proven experience in at least one or more focus areas: waste management, agriculture, watershed, eco-villages, bio-composting, health, education, or infrastructure. • Strong experience in proposal writing, budgeting, project management, reporting, and government coordination. • Prior experience working with government departments and multi-stakeholder ecosystems. • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across geographies.
