"The Research Lead (Fellowship Program) is responsible for conducting field research, analyzing the effectiveness of the Fellowship program, and converting findings into public knowledge goods. This role requires strong research skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of organizational development, collaboration, educational practices, and fellowship program evaluation."
Job Description
"1. Collaborate with the Associate Fellowship Director, Coordinator and PMU team to identify
research needs, objectives, and priorities related to the Fellowship program.
2. Develop comprehensive research plans, methodologies, and data collection strategies to
evaluate the Fellowship program's impact and effectiveness.
3. Design appropriate research tools, such as surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and
observational protocols, to gather data from Fellows, host organizations, and stakeholders.
4. Conduct field research within host organizations, employing various qualitative and
quantitative methods to assess the Fellowship program's implementation and outcomes.
5. Gather data through observations, interviews, focus group discussions, and other techniques
to understand the experiences and perspectives of Fellows.
6. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate statistical and analytical methods
to evaluate the Fellowship program's strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement.
7. Based on research findings, develop recommendations and strategies to enhance the
Fellowship program's design, implementation, and overall effectiveness.
8. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate research
findings, recommendations, and best practices related to the Fellowship program."
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
"1. Master's degree or higher in a relevant field such as education, social sciences, organizational development, or a related discipline. 2. Proven experience of minimum 3 years in conducting field research, action research, or participatory research methodologies, preferably in the context of fellowship programs or capacity-building initiatives. 3. Strong analytical and research skills, with expertise in qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. 4. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. 5. Proficiency in research software and data management tools. 6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. 7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment. 8. Familiarity with educational practices, organizational development, and fellowship program evaluation."
