Job Description


• Design and implement M&E frameworks, tools, and systems for financial sector-focused development projects.
• Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data.
• Develop program monitoring dashboards and periodic evaluation reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct baseline, mid line, and end line surveys; ensure high-quality data collection and validation.
• Support theory of change development and refinement.
• Facilitate internal learning sessions and produce knowledge management outputs (case studies, success stories, learning briefs).
• Manage relationships with program teams, implementing partners, and external evaluators.
• Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and global MEL best practices.
• Provide capacity-building support and M&E technical assistance to partners and field teams.


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

• Knowledge of digital financial services (DFS) or agri-finance programs is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with donor-funded projects (e.g., World Bank, BMGF, USAID, FCDO).
• Practical experience with gender-responsive or youth-focused M&E strategies.

Experience

• 6-9 years of professional experience in M&E in the development sector, with strong financial sector program exposure (e.g., financial inclusion, microfinance, digital finance, livelihood programs). • Strong knowledge of M&E frameworks, log frames, theories of change, and participatory approaches. • Experience in designing and managing both quantitative and qualitative evaluations. • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., STATA, SPSS, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) is an advantage. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
