Overview of the Role


"The Centre for Social and Economic Progress is looking for a motivated individual interested in leading and executing fundraising strategies across various channels, including foundations, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and engaging high net-worth individuals (HNIs). CSEP is supported through the generosity of its Founders’ Circle, Donors, Friends of CSEP, and Patrons. The support and generous contribution of our donors will accelerate the next phase of institutional growth, thus bolstering CSEP’s role by bringing informed non-partisan analysis to policymakers. The Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving fundraising efforts and building strategic partnerships to support our mission and programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and relationship management across Foundations, Corporates and HNI’s and a passion for social and economic development. Candidates with relevant qualifications and a keen interest in policy research may apply."

Job Description


1)Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organisation’s goals and mission.
2)Identify and cultivate relationships with foundations, corporations, and HNIs to secure funding and support.
3)Collaborate with relevant scholars to create compelling grant proposals, presentations, and other fundraising collaterals.
4)Manage a portfolio of donors and partners, ensuring effective stewardship and retention strategies.
5)Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to align fundraising efforts with programmatic needs.
6)Research and identify new funding opportunities, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
7)Analyse fundraising data and metrics to evaluate performance and inform future strategies."


Required & Preferred Qualifications


Skill

"1) Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred). 2) 2-3 years of progressive experience in fundraising, particularly across Foundations (Indian and International), CSR, and engaging HNIs. 3) Proven track record of successfully securing funding and meeting fundraising goals. 4) Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and steward donors. 5) Exceptional writing abilities with experience in crafting compelling grant proposals and donor communications. 6) Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative fundraising initiatives. 7) Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite."
