Nearly a decade ago, Mantra stepped into the education ecosystem with a vision to transform Public Education in India. In a nation like India with complexities of scale and diversity, enabling quality education cannot be exclusive of systemic reforms. Our mission is to enable enriching learning experiences for children by enabling education leaders to drive school improvements. Towards this, we partner with bodies like the Ministry of Education, State education departments, as well as other Civil Society Actors. We enable school improvement through a tri-fold approach - working directly with schools through our innovation projects, working with state governments towards enabling greater system capacity, and by working with ecosystem actors to nurture a collective of changemakers. As part of our work with state governments, one of our key programs is the Punjab Education Collective - a collective of 4 organizations jointly working towards systemic school reform in the state of Punjab, for which we were recently awarded “The Collective Social Innovation Award” by the Schwab Foundation at the World Economic Forum in January 2023. Through the span of the last 10 years, we have been able to reach 272,090 schools, 276,204 education leaders and 36,457,659 children.

Overview of the Role
As a Program Lead, you will be responsible for driving the mission of enabling the education ecosystem to lead continuous and sustainable improvements by providing support to a designated group of educational government functionaries at district and block levels in selected districts of Kalaburagi division. The Program Lead will also be actively engaged in designing and innovating programs along with the government.
Job Description
"1)Leading and co-creating the journey of education change through programs with various district governments across government high schools in the district.
2) Research and develop tools to identify the needs of the education system.
3) Develop a strategic plan aligned to the scope and focus of the projects.
4) Review existing structures and processes, and work with concerned officials to implement improvement projects.
5) Assess and analyze existing government projects and devise plans to strengthen them. You would improve the learning cycles for every official by improving the feedback mechanism from the ground.
6) Build strategic partnerships consisting of various organizations and stakeholders, including NGOs, Knowledge partners, Design Consultants, 7)Govt. Agencies etc. and create a partner engagement framework to coordinate and monitor the efficacy.
8) Establish effective Monitoring and Evaluation processes."
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
"1)Must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience, however, candidates with strong experience in the education sector will be considered. 2)Must have awareness of the state-level initiatives towards education transformation in different parts of India is preferable. 3)Experience in classroom teaching, delivering educational programs and activities OR experience working on projects with school stakeholders from underserved urban/rural localities. 4)Strong interest in empowering a school through - School Leadership, Teaching & Learning, and Community Engagement. 5)Must know Kannada (Read and Write)"
