Overview of the Role
Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy is looking for a talented Measurement & Verification (M&V) Professional to join our team focused on improving building energy efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of energy systems, data analysis, and M&V protocols. This role will include evaluating energy performance, verifying savings from energy efficiency initiatives, and assisting our clients in reaching their sustainability objectives.
Job Description
Measurement & Verification:
• Conduct M&V activities for energy efficiency projects following established protocols (e.g., IPMVP).
• Review M&V plans and methodologies tailored to specific projects.
• Analyze and interpret data to quantify energy savings and identify discrepancies.
Data Analysis:
• Utilize statistical and analytical methods to assess PAGE 2 energy consumption and performance trends.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings, methodologies, and savings.
• Provide technical guidance on measurement techniques and tools.
Client Engagement
• Communicate findings and insights to clients.
• Support clients in understanding M&V processes and results.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on industry best practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements related to energy efficiency and M&V.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes to enhance M&V practices.
• Proven proficiency with Power Query and Power BI, Tableau including DAX and M-language for ETL automation.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
• Strong understanding of building energy efficiency, energy efficiency technologies and concepts, IPMVP, ESCO frameworks, policies, and M&V methodologies and protocols.
• Familiarity with data analytics, emerging technologies, research, and innovation in the energy domain.
• Proficiency in energy modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel, etc.).
• Certification as a BEE Certified Energy Manager or Auditor will be highly desirable.
• Possession of PMVA or CMVP certification will be preferred.
Education
Postgraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering from a reputed institution in India or abroad. Additional qualifications or certifications in Data Science will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in national/international institutions, companies, or government agencies, with a proven track record in building energy efficiency and Measurement & Verification (M&V) for ESCO-led projects.
