Overview of the Role
To lead, conceptualize, and deliver high-quality policy research, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement for Economic Affairs Department, contributing significantly to the formulation of progressive economic policy recommendations, high-impact reports, and thought leadership for industry and government. The role demands strong domain expertise, intellectual leadership, and ability to translate complex economic issues into actionable industry perspectives and policy positions.
Job Description
1. Lead preparation of policy reports, strategy papers, technical papers, press releases, media briefs, presentations, and internal notes across the full spectrum of economic affairs.
• High-quality, analytically sound, and insight-rich outputs that reflect cutting-edge thinking; delivered on schedule.
2. Drive content development for key national economic exercises such as the Union Budget, Economic Survey, Five-Year Plans, sectoral policy reviews, etc.
• Generation of original, forward-looking policy ideas with actionable recommendations; alignment with industry priorities.
3. Anchor content for Global Economic Policy Forum flagship economic forums, and cross-functional events.
• Conceptualization and delivery of impactful session themes, speaker briefs, presentations, and talking points that position organization as a thought leader.
4. Build and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders including Economic Advisory Council (EAC), Government of India, policy think tanks, economists, multilateral institutions, and global experts.
• Proactive engagement leading to enhanced visibility and influence in policy discourse; strengthened access to domain experts
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
- Strong conceptual understanding of macroeconomic policy, public finance, trade, and sectoral economics.
- Excellent policy writing, articulation, and presentation skills.
- High-quality analytical capability with ability to develop evidence-backed policy positions.
- Ability to synthesize complex issues into clear advocacy messaging.
- Proactive, self-driven, intellectually curious, and solution-oriented mindset
Education
-Ph. D or Masters in Economics or allied fields from a reputed Institute
