Overview of the Role
The Manager - Program and Operations will be responsible for the effective planning, execution, and oversight of CSIP's programs and daily operational activities, including managing partnerships and contracting processes.
Job Description
Program Management:
• Oversee the end-to-end planning, implementation, and evaluation of CSIP's various programs and initiatives.
• Develop detailed program plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with CSIP's strategic goals.
• Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
Operations Management:
• Manage the daily operational activities of CSIP, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee administrative functions, including procurement, logistics, and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with all internal Ashoka University policies and external regulations.
Partnerships and Contracting:
• Manage communications and reporting with key partners, including funders, collaborators, and service providers.
• Negotiate and manage contracts, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), and other agreements with partners and vendors.
• Ensure all contractual obligations are met and relationships are maintained effectively.
• Explore new partnership opportunities that align with CSIP's mission and objectives.
Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with the research, communications, and leadership teams to achieve CSIP's overall objectives.
• Provide support and guidance to program-related staff as needed.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Skill
• Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for effective partnership management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and project management tools.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and provide direction in a growing organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of total work experience, with significant experience in program management and operations. Prior experience in the social sector is strongly preferred. Proven experience in managing partnerships and contracting processes.
