CONTEXT & BACKGROUND:
Saiyam, an Anti Addiction Initiative, is designed to ensure addictions are stopped even before they take root. The focus is to enable youth with tools to build self-reliance and self-control, so as to not fall prey to addictive temptations.
The project also focuses on creating mass awareness about addictions and thus enable responsible practices at individual, family and community level, so as to raise a less risky society.
OBJECTIVE:
The main role of the Manager will be responsible for leading the overall initiative and supporting the teams handling the concerned tasks. While doing so s/he needs to ensure the best possible impact (scale as well as scope) as per the indicators and/or matrices that will be used to measure the impact.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To achieve the objective, the scope of the role includes, but is not limited to :
Program Modelling and Coordination:
- To be in regular contact with the implementing agency.
- Periodic telephonic engagements (Once a week)
- Periodic field visits and monitoring (Once a month)
- Keep in touch with and coordinate all other coaxials of Saiyam in order to keep the actions and programmes under individual collaterals coherent to the objectives.
- To ensure that all the concerned agencies are on track w.r.t their implementation plans.
Lead generation :
- Keep an eye on all the social media activity
- Connect and co-ordinate with people showing interest to engage through Social media
- Connect the people with respective teams as per their interests.
Partners and Tie-ups :
- Keep in loop with the partner institution/vendor over their progress in implementation.
- Act as the anchor for the project and process from the Trust’s side.
- Ensure timely reporting from the vendor in the desired manner. Maintain consistent dialogue and ensure the desired schedule is followed.
- Explore possible connections at district, zone, state levels & co-ordinate collaborations and communications with the same
Events
- Search, identify, pursue and connect agencies that can execute the planned activity/event(s).
- Ensure end-to-end implementation of the event(s) by assisting the partner as required
Documentation
- Obtain periodic reports of the programme and activities from the concerned partners and maintain a cumulative record of the same
- Create and maintain a record for all the policy level decisions for the programme taken at the Trust level (separate from the above records)
- Create and maintain muster of all the collaterals developed for activities and programme(s)
Liasioning
- Identify and approach the connections within PMC to ensure a wide-scale and state promoted (or sponsored) implementation of the programme.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Graduate / Post-graduate (social work, international development, public policy, rural management, economics etc.)
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of full time work
- Qualities Required:
- Proficient with the MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Quick learner
- Self motivated.

- proficiency of reading, writing in English, Hindi & Marathi.
- Excellent command over spoken Marathi necessary.
