About Us
Sanjhi Sikhiya is a collective movement dedicated to transforming Punjab into a land of hope, courage, and possibilities. Since 2018, our team has been working to bring about systemic change in Punjab's public education system. We partner closely with the government at both state and district levels, and our efforts reach over 500 schools and 40,000 students, focusing on improving teaching-learning practices and increasing community ownership.
Driving our district-level initiatives are the fellows of the Punjab Youth Leaders Program (PYLP), a 2-year full-time leadership development program for young people. PYLP operating in the districts of Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Ropar, and Bathinda, enables youth to contribute to Punjab's development while honing their own leadership skills.

As the State Program Lead, you will be responsible for driving strategic education initiatives in collaboration with senior government officials, funders, and various partner organizations. This leadership role is crucial in the co-creation and execution of scalable education programs, with the aim of bringing about systemic change in the state's education sector.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Program Design and Operational Oversight:
- Leading the co-creation journey of education change programs with partners and Govt. officials.
- Designing simple and scalable programs and establishing effective Monitoring and Evaluation processes.
- Reviewing existing structures and processes, and working with concerned officials to implement improvement projects.
- Assessing and analyzing existing government projects and devising plans to strengthen them.
- Developing a strategic plan aligned with the scope and focus of the projects.
- Comfort with frequent travel within and outside the state.
Stakeholder Management:
- Navigates through various government departments to foster effective stakeholder relationships.
- Interacts comfortably with government officials, particularly at the senior IAS level.
- Manages relationships with funders, ensuring clear communication and productive collaboration.
- Builds strategic partnerships with a diverse range of organizations and stakeholders, including knowledge partners, design consultants, government agencies, NGOs, and others.
- Organizes workshops and review meetings with internal and external teams to ensure alignment and progress tracking.
Experience Requirements:
- Proficient in understanding classroom learning dynamics and the education governance framework in India.
- Aware of state-level initiatives for education transformation across different regions of India.
- Possesses a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in collaboration with government stakeholders or within the education sector.
- Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with government stakeholders.
- Skilled in funder management, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development.
- Proficiency in reading and writing Punjabi is desirable.

Location: Chandigarh/Mohali (Tricity Region)
Remuneration: 6-8 lakhs CTC/year (based on experience and commitment time)
