About the PROGRAMME
The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department of the Government of Karnataka, in collaboration with PRADAN and BRAC International, is designing and implementing a three- year project aimed at lifting 50,000 extremely poor families out of poverty in 20 blocks across 10 districts in Karnataka. This initiative, known as the Karnataka Inclusive Livelihoods Programme (KILP), will employ comprehensive productive inclusion strategies to enhance the lives of marginalized populations, especially women. PRADAN will deploy qualified personnel at various levels to ensure the successful implementation of KILP.
Job Description
- Support the MTs in identifying the programme participants and preparing action plan for each person/household.
- Guide and mentor the MTs, and ensure that they support the programme participants as per the plan drawn up for each person/household.
- Regular review and value addition as needed.
- Liaise with the local Panchayat and Taluk departments in converging resources and also accessing necessary entitlements.
- Provide regular training to the MTs through field visits, and formal and informal meetings.
- Ensure data collection and filling up MIS on a time.
- Submission of periodic reports to TPMU as per requirement.
- Identify and document best practices.
- Communicate effectively with the external stakeholders about the programme.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- At least three years of experience in the social development work.
- At least 2 years of working with rural or urban poor or other disadvantaged communities.
- Well-versed in Kannada reading, writing, and speaking.
- Experience in working in teams.
- Ability to communicate well in meetings and reporting in writing
Location: Bidar (Aurad), Ballari (Kurugodu), Vijayanagara (Harappanahalli), Vijayapura (Thalikote), Chamarajanagara (Yelendor), and Yadgir (Gurmtkal)
Note - This is a three-year employment contract renewable as per programme funding need with a probationary period of six months
