About Labhya Foundation:
Labhya is an India-based nonprofit that enables children from vulnerable backgrounds with the necessary skills to cope with poverty & become effective learners through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Supported by organizations like Harvard University, Nudge, DRK Foundation, UNICEF, and others, Labhya co-creates programs with Indian state governments and aims to impact 30 million children by 2030. Current programs impact 2.4 million children across 22,000+ government schools in India daily.
Overview
- Role Title: Operations Lead, Delhi
- Number of openings: 1
- Role Level: 4-7 years of experience required in any industry (added advantage for experience in development / NGO sector)
- Location: Based in New Delhi (Non-Negotiable). The role will entail significant intra & interstate travel across India depending on programs.
- Gross compensation: Pay will match Indian non-profit norms and similar organizations, discussed in the last selection round.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with state and district/block-level government officials.
- Develop strong working relations with mentor teachers and wellbeing program coordinators.
- Support documentation and assess the on-ground impact by visiting schools periodically.
- Act as the anchor of intervention between state officials and Labhya’s Curriculum & Training team.
- Represent Labhya in meetings with multilateral partners and stakeholders.
- Facilitate teacher training sessions and prepare detailed training modules.
- Document and communicate SEL-related gaps and needs.
- Conduct assessments to improve the curriculum based on feedback.
- Collaborate with the Curriculum design, Operations, and Monitoring & Evaluation teams.
- Support in hiring and managing a state-level team.
- Assist the Operations Team in expanding Labhya’s impact to other state governments.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in education, social science, or equivalent.
- 4-7+ years of experience in teacher training programs and facilitation.
- Willingness to relocate to Delhi (non-negotiable).
- Prior experience with government and education departments.
- On-ground experience with children and youth.
- Understanding of Social-Emotional Learning, mental health, or developmental psychology (preferred).
- Fluency in Hindi & English (written and spoken).
- Strong relationship building, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
- Experience in stakeholder management and logistical planning.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
