Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Start Date: 1 January 2025
Contract: 2-year contract with potential renewal
Salary & Benefits: USD 37,800 per annum (USD 3,150 per month) + 13th-month salary, health, and dental insurance.
The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA), a regional human rights organization with 87 member organizations across 23 countries in Asia, seeks a South Asia Programme Manager to lead and manage its operations in South Asia. The role involves program management, advocacy, budget planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders to promote and protect human rights across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of FORUM-ASIA’s South Asia programmes.
- Manage the Kathmandu office and supervise a diverse team.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation among member organizations.
- Develop and execute advocacy initiatives, program budgets, and reports.
- Represent FORUM-ASIA in regional and international forums.
Qualifications:
- University degree in human rights, politics, international relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in human rights, preferably with NGOs.
- Strong knowledge of South Asia’s socio-political context and human rights issues.
- Proven leadership, advocacy, and report-writing skills.
- Excellent communication in English and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
