Overview

This role will require the person to be able to inspire and increase volunteering in the city. This can be to engage through skills and / or activities with the local NGOs. In addition, s/he will also need to support the team with any corporate engagements that will arise.

Attributes for the Job

This role requires work life integration. The individual needs to demonstrate agility to be available to volunteers and NGOs if needed, as well as to the team outside “traditional working hours” including some weekends and evenings for calls and meetings. Responsiveness on mail and phone within 24 hours is mandatory. Email is the primary means of communication and not WhatsApp or texting. Mission drive will be key to the job and a sense of purpose used as a detriment of performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. NGO Partners
    • To research NGOs and build a credible network of NGO partners
    • To understand the need of the NGOs and devise ways to get appropriate volunteers to meet those
    needs including key impact projects related to HR, Marketing, IT, etc.
    • To service NGOs with suitable volunteer placements
    • To scope volunteer requirements and plan volunteering activities
    • To match volunteer skills with the requirements of an Impact Project
    • To document & analyze volunteer placement at each partner on the inhouse cloud database.
  2. Impact Projects
    ● To ensure we have enough “Impact Projects” or skill-based projects with each of our NGO partners
    ● To source and partner with nonprofits to provide them with solutions through Impact Projects
    ● To support NGOs and provide them solutions through the impact projects on different domains namely: HR, Marketing, Communication, and IT
  3. Corporate Engagements
    • To support the Senior Leaders and the team involved in pitching for corporate volunteering initiatives and assist in implementation.
    • To liaise with various vendors, and negotiate the best price possible for products and services that may be required in implementing an employee volunteering program
    • To assist and follow up regularly and timely order to sign up with corporates for employee volunteering initiatives
    • To ensure smooth delivery of on-ground OR Virtual employee volunteering program
    • Create and share timely project details and reports related to the program.
    • 50% of this role involves working with one key corporate partner with whom various volunteering activities will need to be conducted on the ground and virtually.
  4. Volunteers
    • To conduct volunteer orientation sessions
    • To maintain and update the volunteer database from time to time.
    • To help volunteers find suitable volunteering opportunities through various initiatives such as Impact Projects, and other Volunteer Management training sessions
    • To be responsible for quality volunteering services to individuals
    • To organize and execute events and other promotional activities aimed at increasing volunteer registrations, recognition of volunteering, and brand building with all the stakeholders.
    • Identify Volunteer leaders and empower them to build a strong network of volunteer in the city.
    • Manage WhatsApp groups of volunteers
  5. Other:
    • Identify the training needs of the NGO, find trainers, and organize training sessions on various key topics related to Volunteer Management
    • To always adhere to the systems and processes of the organization
    • To represent the organization best always
    • Connect with key stakeholders – NGO heads, Project heads, School Principals, Local Police, and Local political leaders for permissions for various volunteering activities as and when required.
    • To maintain proper documentation and filing systems (paper & electronic) required and ensure documents are in order and updated
    • To proactively carry out additional duties and responsibilities from time to time, assist with other communication material and initiatives such as whiteboard, and ensure quality deliverables.
    • To mentor and train other associates and Relationship manager
    • To facilitate volunteer orientation and training sessions

Authorities Delegated to this Position


• To manage relationships with volunteers and NGOs
• To conduct volunteer orientation sessions
• To conduct Active Citizenship activities
• To build and manage relationships with volunteer NGOs, corporate partners, and other key stakeholders.


Qualifications


Essential:
• Graduate from any stream

Preferred:
• MSW or equivalent with at least 4-6 years of relevant experience

Annual CTC

The compensation will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications and as per standards & internal parity.
