Position Overview
The Senior Manager: Strategy & Engagement will independently drive strategic client reporting, government partnerships, and the progress tracking of the project team. In addition, the role will be responsible for creating learning plans and ensuring curriculum alignment with the NSQF framework and state government priorities. This position requires a proactive leader capable of managing complex stakeholder relationships and aligning educational content to national standards and governmental objectives.
The Role and Responsibilities
Client Reporting & Communication
- Develop and deliver detailed, data-driven reports to clients, showcasing project progress, impact, and strategic outcomes.
- Ensure client satisfaction through regular updates, addressing concerns, and aligning deliverables with client expectations.
- Act as the primary contact for client interactions, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
Government Partnership & Engagement
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with state government bodies to promote and secure support for the IBM SkillsBuild initiative.
- Align project objectives with state government priorities and policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering collaborative efforts.
- Represent the organization in meetings with policymakers, advocating for the project’s integration with government programs and educational reforms.
Learning Plans & Curriculum Development
- Design and implement learning plans aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and government priorities.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the curriculum is relevant, up-to-date, and in line with both industry needs and governmental standards.
- Lead the continuous development and revision of training materials, integrating new trends and insights into emerging technologies.
Team Progress Mapping & Reporting
- Implement effective progress mapping strategies to track team deliverables, milestones, and overall project execution.
- Provide comprehensive reports on team performance and program outcomes to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and address any challenges or risks that may hinder project progress, ensuring timely interventions.
Strategy Development & Implementation
- Develop and implement strategies for stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with the broader goals of the IBM SkillsBuild project.
- Identify opportunities for program expansion and innovation based on client and government feedback.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and impact of the project, ensuring scalability and long-term sustainability.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in strategic project management, government relations, and curriculum development.
- Proven expertise in working with state government entities and funders.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to operate independently.
- Experience in designing educational programs, curriculum development, and learning plans.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with public-private partnerships, CSR, and large-scale education or skilling initiatives is a plus.
