About the Harit Programme

Harit by HCL Foundation is an ongoing environment-focused flagship programme operational in 9 states across India. The programme aims to conserve, restore, and enhance local ecosystems while addressing climate change through community engagement. Key areas include afforestation, water conservation, coastal habitat protection, animal welfare, and environmental education.

Position Overview

HCL Foundation invites applications for the role of Senior Programme Officer/Programme Officer – Environment Education. The role involves planning, strategizing, and monitoring environmental education projects under the Harit programme. The selected candidate will work closely with the Project Director and provide technical inputs to enhance programme strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Expertise
    • Develop and support environmental education projects in alignment with programme goals.
    • Innovate and manage educational initiatives in institutions.
  2. Project and Partner Management
    • Organize public events and communication initiatives.
    • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, with frequent field visits.
    • Conduct research, including baseline and end-line studies for environmental education projects.
  3. Communication & Reporting
    • Develop awareness campaigns for urban and peri-urban areas.
    • Compile and submit regular project updates and reports.
    • Assist in internal and external communication efforts.
  4. Child Safeguarding
    • Adherence to HCL Foundation’s Child Protection Policy is mandatory.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Development Communication, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in environment education projects, with experience in CSR preferred.
  • Skills: Strong management, organizational, and communication skills; ability to liaise with government stakeholders; adaptability to changing circumstances.

Remuneration

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
