AuxoHub
Location: Remote
What acts as a hurdle for grassroots NGOs trying to make a difference? What is the biggest concern for possible funders looking to make sure their money reaches the actual beneficiary? How can social sector organisations be strengthened to enable impact at scale?
If these are questions that have been on your mind, you are looking in the right place.
AuxoHub is a women-led development sector consultancy that focuses on providing communications support services to nonprofits, grant organisations, and CSR departments. Our areas of support span four key verticals – documentation and collateral creation, research and evaluation, funder-driven services, and accessibility services through interpretations and translations. We currently offer services in 10 non-English languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Assamese and Bengali. Since its inception in 2018, we have completed 200+ projects across 15 states in India and have an active network of 200+ NGOs across the country. All of AuxoHub’s projects are delivered by a core team of young, development sector professionals supported by a network of 120+ freelance consultants from across the country.
Today, AuxoHub is looking to grow!
We are looking for someone to join our team who will be involved in leading project teams for successful project completion, leading client interactions, and supporting business development. We look forward to working with someone who feels strongly about the role of grassroots organisations and non-profits in development and is committed to collaborative changemaking.
What will you do?
- Project oriented
- Manage projects including client interfacing and quality control
- Support in project delivery as necessary, including editing and content creation across formats
- Coordinate between external consultant(s) and core team as necessary
- Undertake fieldwork for projects as may be applicable
- Business Development oriented
- Support in pitch meetings and lead conversations following initial introductions
- Lead proposal creation and administrative processes
- Follow up on communications on potential projects as may be required by team
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelors/Masters degree, preferably in Humanities and/or Social Sciences (But in case you don’t have a liberal arts degree but are passionate about the sector, do reach out!)
- Work experiences of 2-3 years in the social impact sector (This includes development sector consultancy, project management roles in NGOs or work in CSR departments)
- Proficiency in English as well as at least one amongst Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Gujarati, Assamese or Bengali (Our work in regional languages is an important part of vision, and we need to be able to communicate with clients and ensure quality. In case you know other languages, let us know.)
- Proficiency in MS Office (As with most jobs, we’ll largely need Excel, PowerPoint and Word.)
- Willingness to undertake fieldwork across India, as necessary
(While this is a remote, work-from-home job, we do undertake data collection and visit client sites as and when required.)
Please note: Preference will be given to those willing to start immediately.
Most importantly, as with most small teams, we look forward to working with someone who is willing to learn, takes initiative, and enjoys working independently. In return, we guarantee the opportunity to understand the diversity of the social sector first-hand, ranging from fieldwork to research, from business development to project delivery.
What can we offer?
You will get to experience the intersection between the social sector and start-up culture. Given the variety of project types, geographies, sectors, and how social sector organisations are run, the job offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the sector while also equipping yourself with project management and delivery skills. As a member of a small core team, you will also be actively contributing to the growth phase of the organisation.
