Principal Accountabilities:

Research (Primary and Secondary)

  • Ability to collect primary data, analyze secondary data. Develop reports, representations and knowledge outputs

Policy Advocacy

  • Develop policy briefs based on research and interaction with members
  • Making representations to the governments
  • Regular interaction with Committee members

Organizing Conferences/ Outreach

  • Ability to conduct / organize events / seminars
  • Develop and organize workshops and other outreach programmes
  • Developing concept notes / backgrounders

Team – work

  • Cost Consciousness – (attitude to cost reduction and control in his area of work)
  • Work in co-ordination with others and understanding other’s viewpoint
  • Intellectual work generated – (Development of publishable material with the team / for the team)

Qualifications

MBA / Masters in Economics with knowledge of mining & steel industry with knowledge of power industry and relevant experience of 3 - 9 years

The scope of work requires a person with:

  • Knowledge on mining / metals industry having understanding of steel, non-ferrous metals, cement & mining sectors
  • Ability to interact with industry and governments
  • To understand the sector and conduct research along with report development, the candidate should have research bent of mind and be good at report / proposal development along with strong writing skills
  • Primary responsibility of managing communication to and between various stakeholders including the members of the committee, representatives of steel, non-ferrous & mining organizations and government dignitaries
  • Identifying industry specific issues for conversion into event platforms
  • Strong liasoning skills
  • Knowledge of how to conduct events
  • Strong media orientation and social media promotional skills

  • Liaise with industry and government in putting forth recommendations for making better policies
