Background:
Noor is a global feminist and movement-driven think and do tank, devoted to building the power of gender justice and progressive movements to obstruct far-right agendas, and advance our transformative visions.
We coordinate a transnational network; expose and oppose the resurgent right and build narrative power, and facilitate strategic alignment and strategy development. We organize to help bring systemic alternatives to fascism, fundamentalisms, neocolonialism, and capitalism into reality.
Position Overview:
Noor is seeking a full-time Resource Mobilization Strategist to join the team. In this role, you will envision and implement Noor’s fundraising strategy, and will hold responsibility for the identification of funding opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to gender, racial, economic and climate justice; and knowledge of anti-democratic, anti-rights and anti-feminist movements and tactics.
Major Responsibilities:
- In dialogue with Noor’s team, develop and implement Noor’s fundraising strategy.
- Working alongside programmatic staff, identify and create opportunities for donor education around far-right and anti-rights trends and mutual learning between movements and donors on these issues.
- Identify current and future funding opportunities, matching to program needs.
- Work to diversify Noor’s funding streams and explore and develop strategies for the long-term sustainability of the organization and its programs.
- Develop and finalize high-quality funding proposals and lead donor reporting in coordination with programmatic staff.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, hold responsibility for donor outreach and relations, ensuring regular communication with donors, representing Noor in donor spaces, and maintaining a donor database.
- Work with the Communications Lead to develop communications material for the organization pertaining to resource mobilization, such as the website and annual reports.
- In collaboration with the Resource Mobilization Circle, develop, plan, implement, manage and oversee all aspects related to resource mobilization for the organization.
Position Specifications:
- Strong experience working with multi-year budgets and multiple donors.
- Demonstrated track record in developing successful donor proposals.
- At least five years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English. Skills in other languages (e.g. Arabic, French, Urdu/Hindi, Portuguese) are highly desirable.
- University degree (ideally post-graduate) in feminist or gender studies, sociology, political science, or related field.
- Previous experience working within the philanthropy ecosystem is desirable.
- Knowledge of issues and themes related to fundamentalisms and authoritarianism; anti-democratic, ‘anti-gender’ and anti-feminist movements; gender justice; and feminism.
- Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and analytically, with expertise in problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience working with diverse communities from multiple identities across the globe, in a virtual environment.
- Strong project management experience and skills, including attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; innovative, takes initiative, and flexible. - Committed to and passionate about the principles of feminism and anti-oppression;understanding and commitment to our values and vision.
- Strong digital skills, with experience supporting and connecting communities online -
comfortable with Zoom, Slack, Excel/Google Sheets, Google Drive, etc.
- Ability to work remotely as part of a virtual team, and ability to travel internationally.

Compensation and Benefits: $65,000 USD annual salary + benefits package
