As a growing global alliance of over 15,000 members in more than 190 countries, we work together to monitor violations of basic civic freedoms, call out the perpetrators of violations and strengthen the power of people to organise, speak up and take action by supporting a more accountable, effective and innovative civil society. We strive to promote excluded voices, especially from the Global South.
About the role
The Research Officer will support an ongoing research initiative on global governance reform by collecting data, producing content and assisting dissemination efforts. They will conduct interviews and facilitate other forms of consultation with civil society partners; conduct desk research and produce text to feed into articles and reports; and contribute to the dissemination of research outputs.
Key requirements
- Degree in International Relations
- Familiarity with inter-governmental institutions and international civil society networks
- Proficiency in English; fluency in French and/or Spanish desirable
- Minimum 3-year research experience
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office package and ICT literacy
- Interpersonal skills: inclination and ability to work as part of a diverse, multicultural virtual team
- Behavioural skills: well-organised, able to work independently and to deliver under pressure and within deadlines, with high attention to detail
