SPRF India is a public policy think tank based in New Delhi dedicated to engaging young policy researchers under expert guidance. Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Research Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop innovative research outputs and support the research team in various capacities. This role requires creativity, analytical skills, and a passion for social policy and public affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Content Development:
- Produce original research outputs including commentaries, issue briefs, and discussion papers, as well as audio-visual content like videos and podcasts.
- Create social media content to accompany research outputs as needed.
- Assist the research team in crafting proposals for long-term projects, including ideation, conducting preliminary literature reviews, and identifying potential donors or partners.
- Project Support and Collaboration:
- Aid in the management of ongoing long-term projects.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for new research initiatives undertaken by the team.
- Review drafts of outgoing research products to ensure quality and coherence.
- Provide support during events and conferences hosted by SPRF and represent the organization at external events.
- Editorial and Team Contribution:
- Co-manage editorial duties for SPRF’s Curated Voices Project.
- Contribute to the team’s efforts by sharing insights and providing support, leveraging your expertise whenever possible.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or related fields.
- 1-2 years of relevant research experience, preferably with a think tank, academic institution, or non-profit organization.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with familiarity in qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in research tools like SPSS, STATA, R, or equivalent is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM. While the position is remote, team gatherings in Delhi are encouraged every two to three months, and informal meetups with team members in the same city are welcomed.
Reporting
You will report directly to our Research Team Lead with a dotted line to our founding director
