Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Research Associate to create innovative research outputs, support our research team, and contribute to various initiatives. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, creativity, and a passion for social policy and public affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Content Development:
- Craft original research outputs such as commentaries, issue briefs, discussion papers, and multimedia content (videos and podcasts).
- Develop engaging social media content aligned with research outputs.
- Support project proposals through ideation, preliminary literature reviews, and identification of potential donors or partners.
- Project Collaboration:
- Assist in managing ongoing projects and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new initiatives.
- Review research drafts for quality and coherence.
- Represent SPRF India at events and conferences, and provide event support.
- Editorial Contributions:
- Co-manage editorial responsibilities for SPRF’s Curated Voices Project.
- Share insights and expertise to support the team’s goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or related fields.
- 1–2 years of relevant research experience, ideally with a think tank, academic institution, or nonprofit organization.
- Proficiency in research tools like SPSS, STATA, or R is an advantage.
- Strong research and analytical skills with experience in qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Remote work is encouraged, with optional team gatherings in Delhi every 2–3 months. Informal meetups with team members in the same city are also welcomed.
Reporting Structure:
The Research Associate will report to the Research Team Lead with a dotted line to the founding director.
