Carnegie India is looking to hire a Research Analyst to work across its Security Studies and Technology focus areas. This is a full-time role at Carnegie India's offices in New Delhi.
The selected Research Analyst will be responsible for carrying out research, outreach, and writing related to the work of the two focus areas. Ideal candidates should have demonstrated interest in the areas of international relations, and critical and emerging technology. This would require knowledge of the developments in fields such as (but not limited to) Artificial Intelligence; autonomous warfare and unmanned aerial systems, space, global supply chains, cybersecurity administration; military indigenization, and how they are altering India's security landscape. In addition, the Research Analyst will also focus on the role of technology in facilitating international partnerships. The Research Analyst will play a role in organizing Carnegie India's flagship events - the Global Technology Summit and the Security Studies Dialogue, including conceptualizing themes, curating discussions, and engaging with key stakeholders.
Candidates must have excellent verbal and written command of English, and a Master's degree [in international relations, strategic studies, law, data science, economics, public policy or related fields] with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in policy research and stakeholder engagement. The selected candidate will have strong research and organizational skills, the ability to work on flexible deadlines, the capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously, be able to work independently as well as part of a team and have a proven track record of peer reviewed publications.
