ABOUT YOU
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Master’s in HR would be a plus)
- A minimum of 8 to 12 years of work experience in a corporate consulting or professional services environment
- Ideally, previous experience in resource planning / people-management role/ training and development
- Strong analytical ability, especially the capacity to identify, synthesize and effectively communicate trends and patterns in data
- Exemplary organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with various Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

WHAT YOU WILL DO AND HOW YOU WILL GROW
Position Description:
Dalberg in Asia is currently seeking a bright, motivated, and entrepreneurial candidate to join its Operations team as its Staffing and Training Lead. This is a full-time role that will be based in the Mumbai office.
About the role:
The Staffing and Training Lead is expected to help deliver value to Dalberg Asia’s clients by ensuring the optimal staffing of all consulting staff for projects and be responsible for their overall learning journey. Working closely, with the HR head, the Staffing & Training Partner Leads, Management team members and all staff. The Lead will manage overall staffing, focusing on allocating the right individuals to the right projects by optimizing for business needs, project requirements, and individuals’ professional development.
The Staffing and training Lead will be an integral part of Dalberg Advisor’s Operations team, who will support consultants and partners across the Asia region. While the Lead will directly report to the HR head, they will also liaise with the Staffing Partner lead and Asia and global leadership to align on staffing and training priorities and will be pivotal in designing and deploying this and our overall staffing and professional development strategy for Asia. This role is both strategic as well as implementation focused.
Key responsibilities:
Staffing allocation
- Be the central coordinator of talent to manage staffing demands of Partners, Consultants, and projects across Asia
- Maintain tracking of the staffing pipeline by attending weekly meetings and through daily interactions with the team
- Collate staffing requests systematically, develop/estimate weekly staffing requirements and communicate them promptly to Partners
- Staff project teams in a timely and appropriate manner, considering the following:
- Needs of the case in terms of seniority and skills
- Business needs (cost, revenue implications)
- Client/project needs
- Individuals’s’ professional development and other staffing needs
Staffing capacity management
- Monitor short and medium resource levels and make recommendations for standard work and contingency planning
- Monitor work levels and address any imbalances as appropriate and highlight well-being issues to the Staffing Partner Lead and the HR head
- Proactively arrange staff from other divisions or offices when there are no staff available within the region
- Approval of leave / Leave of absence /transfers etc. for consultant staff members in accordance with the upcoming project pipeline and staffing needs
- Establish appropriate relationships with staff at all levels within the region
Projects
- Work alongside the Staffing Partner and HR head to continuously improve Asia staffing processes and support global initiatives as needed
- Lead or support other office projects related to staffing (e.g., working with Finance Team on project finances) as required
Training and Development
- Be the central coordinator of talent to manage all training and professional development needs across Asia
- Coordinate and lead training across staff in Asia
- Identify the training needs of the team and develop a learning and development plan using a combination of different pieces of training, i.e. soft and hard skill training, internal and external training, learning lunches, online training, attendance to conferences and events, etc.
- Engage in vendor tie-ups for external training as needed
- Work along with the HR head, and training Partner lead to come up with a training strategy for the year
