Company Description

The Spine Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Mumbai, India. Established over 25 years ago by a team of dedicated spine surgeons, our organization provides free spine care to underprivileged communities. We offer specialized camps and outreach programs to ensure that individuals have access to critical surgeries and proper diagnosis. In addition to medical care, we also raise awareness about spinal health and preventative measures in these communities.

Role Description

As a Project Manager, we would expect you to work on and coordinate the following key areas of The Spine Foundation (TSF):

  • Outreach & Project Management
  • Identify like-minded organisations in Mumbai, across India, and abroad and build contact. This should be done with an aim to optimise the services offered, avoid duplication, and create a multiplier effect by using each other’s strengths.
  • Look for organisations based near the various TSF sites that can help our medical camps with manpower / publicity / medical resources/ connecting to local social groups.
  • In a broad way, look for newer regions in India that need our expertise.
  • Coordinate with Spine Fellows on the collaborations with NGOs.
  • Coordinate with logistics team on all the medical camps being organised across India.
  • Provide managerial inputs to the TSF Advisory Board for the smooth functioning of various activities.

2. Finance and Fundraising

  • The main function would be to look for new sources of funding, including reaching out to companies for CSR opportunities, and work on the relevant application processes.
  • Being in regular touch with TSF’s donors and update them about our activities, fund usage, newer requirements, etc.
  • Keep track of TSF’s accounts, investments, taxes, etc.

3. Human Resource Management

  • The main role will be overseeing and coordinating the activities of all TSF staff.
  • Scrutinising and optimising the output of each department, including targets, appraisals, leaves, salaries, etc.
  • Organise manpower for each TSF camp, well ahead of time.
  • Optimise manpower for other TSF activities like exhibitions, meetings press, conferences, etc.

4. Research & Publication

  • Structured data compilation and record keeping.
  • Conceive outcome-based research project relevant to the work being done. These could be in the social, public health, and spine surgery domains.
  • Identify and involve members of the TSF family with relevant expertise for individual projects. d.
  • Look for potential collaborators outside of TSF to drive the research and ultimate publication.

5. Monitoring & Evaluation

Maintain current and develop M&E indicators and frameworks, including socio-demographic components, and processes, output and outcome indicators, as well as impact evaluations, such as social return on investment (SROI) under the supervision of senior TSF members.

Qualifications

  • Experience in project management and expediting
  • Knowledge of logistics management and inspection
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems and procedures
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
