Overview
The Empowering Aspirational Blocks: Bridging the Digital Divide through Last-Mile Digital Literacy program aims at empowering the communities from marginalized backgrounds with enhanced digital literacy and access to Government schemes. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring the on-ground implementation of the digital literacy project.
Associate will play a key role in supporting the Program Manager and Lead by conducting research, developing concept notes, and crafting proposals for new ideas focused on digital literacy, computer literacy, and AI fluency for last-mile communities. In addition, the Research Associate will be responsible for overall documentation for the Digital Literacy vertical, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, project records, and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure project implementation aligns with the mission, vision, values, and policies of the Nasscom Foundation. Collaborate with national, regional teams, and service providers to effectively deliver project strategies.
- Provide coordination and supervision at the District/block level to support the field teams.
- Build and sustain relationships with district and regional stakeholders, collaborating with multiple agencies to meet program goals.
- Regularly monitor and assess project results, identifying research areas to enhance knowledge and offer evidence-based solutions.
- Conduct periodic field visits to evaluate project implementation and provide support to field teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reporting in line with internal and external requirements.
- Manage project interventions to ensure planned outputs and outcomes are achieved within the scope, time, and budget.
- Facilitate seamless execution by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework, collecting and analysing data for accurate reporting.
- Take ownership of project execution, ensuring scalable solutions are developed and delivered.
- Identify and document best practices, promoting the scale-up of successful initiatives.
- Provide real-time feedback to field teams to enhance program implementation and data collection.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Key Requirements
- Post-graduate degree in Rural Management, International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- 3-4 years of project management experience, with knowledge of Training, Digital literacy, digital inclusion, or E-governance.
- Strong understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Project Implementation Plans (PIP), and Theory of Change (ToC).
- Proven experience managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and their application in digital literacy, financial inclusion, livelihoods, and entrepreneurship.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex ideas.
- Proficiency in English one of the regional language is essential; knowledge of additional regional languages is preferred.
- Skilled in using social media, digital platforms, and other technology tools.
- Ability to work flexibly in diverse, multicultural environments and to motivate remote teams.
- Passion for creating social impact through technology-driven solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively (60-70% of the time) across Project location.
