Job Profile/ Description:
Applications are invited for the position of Project Associate-II for a time-bound DST-funded Indo-Israel project “Elucidation of RNA-RNA Interaction Networks in Plant-Associated Bacteria towards Enhancing Food Security”
Job Profile:
- Plan activities of the project and monitor progress against the approved work plan
- Work with the team to make sure the project is on track
- Collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data (both primary and secondary)
- Writing and preparing project reports, conducting literature reviews, and other deliverables as per project timelines
- Participate in internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences, and other dissemination activities
- Writing and participating in publications (scientific papers, policy briefs, opinion pieces, etc.)
- Comfortable to travel (International-Israel)
Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree in any area of Life Sciences/Natural/ Agricultural Sciences OR
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent, with good academic record. - Two years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Candidates who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions, will be PREFERED.
Desired experience:
2-3 Years
Key technical, behavioral, and software skills & abilities: Hands-on experience in Molecular biology (particularly RNA isolation, cloning, quantitative real-time PCR, Northern and Western blotting), Microbiology and Computational studies (OMICS) is REQUIRED.
A basic understanding of agricultural science and Field Trials will be preferred.
Salary bracket: As per DST norms
