Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our dynamic team. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting wildlife-related research projects. As a Project Assistant, you will play a crucial role in data collection, analysis, and the development of conservation strategies. Freshers can also apply.
Project Location
Abdasa taluka, Kutch, Gujarat
Duration:
11 months contractual (possibility of extension up to 3 years)
No. of Positions: Two
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out research activities in the field, such as biodiversity assessments, including (but not limited to) vegetation quantification, faunal surveys, and insect diversity surveys
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and research articles
- Analyse data using MS Office and other software
- Write weekly/monthly progress reports concisely and scientifically
- Collaborate with team members, external partners, and stakeholders to support research and conservation activities
- Carry out awareness about wildlife conservation by conducting community outreach and education programs
- Carry out other activities related to the project as assigned by the project head
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Forestry, Zoology, Botany, Environmental Science, or related fields
- Strong interest and passion for wildlife conservation
- Previous experience with fieldwork and data collection techniques
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Being conversant with Gujarati language or Kutchi dialect will be considered as an added skill
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Willingness to travel and work in diverse environments
- A valid LMV and motorcycle driving license, proficiency in MS Office, and communication and report-writing skills
