Protsahan, a Delhi-based non-profit, focuses on caring, rehabilitating, and reintegrating historically marginalized children and girls who've experienced sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). We annually support over 81,000 girls in slums, empowering them to break free from begging, child marriage, child labor, and abuse. Through arts-based education and life skills training, we equip them for autonomous and thriving adulthood while strengthening their families' social protection to prevent institutionalization.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified creative professional to lead our healing childhood trauma through a psychosocial community mental health approach. This role requires a strategic thinker and a doer who is adept at building curriculum design focused on training teachers, social workers, etc. while overseeing research, building learning ecosystems, and facilitating training programs.

The ideal candidate is essentially required to be a skilled manager capable of fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment within a professional social work setting. They are expected to lead institutional efforts to set strategic goals and objectives for addressing childhood trauma with a systems approach, working closely with external stakeholders such as social services, law enforcement, state government, and other NGOs. This role will involve developing and implementing training programs on trauma-informed care and psychological support techniques at a state and a national level, fostering and nourishing multi-disciplinary teams under them, while utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote healing and drive ecosystem-level change on a national scale. 

Key Job Responsibilities 

1.         Program Development & Strategy:

  • Lead curriculum design and training programs on trauma-informed care for teachers, social workers, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategic goals for addressing childhood trauma with a systems approach.
  • Foster collaboration between social services, law enforcement, government, and NGOs.

2.        Training & Facilitation:

  • Design, oversee, and facilitate training sessions at state and national levels.
  • Use evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote healing and drive systemic change.

3.         Research & Content Development:

  • Oversee research initiatives and curate relevant content for training programs.
  • Build and nurture learning ecosystems that contribute to program goals.

4.       Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Build partnerships with external stakeholders to ensure effective program implementation.

5.       Other tasks

The job duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the employee may be required to carry out additional duties within the reasonableness of their level of skills and experience, including adjustment to job description. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Fine Arts, Sociology, Psychiatric Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in training facilitation, curriculum design, and grassroots interventions related to childhood trauma.
  • Proven managerial and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of all data and information and maintaining professional boundaries with all constituencies.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in NGOs or child welfare settings.
  • Familiarity with community resources for trauma and abuse.
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and think at a systemic level.
  • Leadership qualities with intellectual humility and emotional resilience.
  • Have a high level of personal and professional integrity, consistency to thrive with commitment at work, grit, resilience, culture-fit and trustworthiness

This role will have a direct reporting line to the Founder Director and will also work in coordination with the Program team and ground team members. It will involve active collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring a constant flow of inputs and advice to enhance overall effectiveness.

Remuneration Range - INR 48,000 to 56,000 per month, based on experience, attitude, and skills.
