Your role
Are you passionate about social impact and working with public and private actors to tackle the issues affecting the most vulnerable in society? Do you have deep knowledge of the development sector and have experience in enabling corporates and employee engagement in increase impact? Do you have excellent program management skills and the ability to be on top of complex multi-stakeholder partnerships, responding promptly to each party’s needs? Are you able to build and nurture strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect?We’re looking for a Project / Program Manager, based in Pune, who will be responsible for managing the Social Impact projects as part of IndiaTomorrow strategic initiative, reporting to Head of Social Impact & Philanthropy and UBS India Service Co COO.
As a Program Manager, you will:
- be responsible for a portfolio of social impact initiatives within India, engaging various stakeholders globally and in India to drive the India Impact agenda
- work closely with dedicated working groups, business stakeholders and the global and local Social Impact & Philanthropy teams to bring in ideas to enhance impact by creatively engaging employees and building partnerships with other firms
- this will include supporting the Head Social Impact & Philanthropy and India Management in defining the strategy; planning and prioritizing strategic program activities; budget planning and stakeholder management.
- coordinate with our community impact locational leads to increase employee engagement and volunteering including fund raising campaigns within GOTO the India Service Company entities
- be responsible for project management and ownership of relevant workstreams, development of data points and analytical insights for top management with highest demand on accuracy; including development of strategic narrative for senior leadership.
- perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs and priorities of the team and its staff members.
- support cultural change towards a continuous improvement mind-set.
Your team
You’ll be working in the Social Impact & Philanthropy team with a line into the GOTO India team, based in Pune. You will be focused on providing critical social impact related projects with enhanced project execution, and design and change capabilities. We offer a broad exposure to a wide variety of strategic topics with the opportunity to solve challenging real-world problems.
Your expertise
- ideally at least ten years of program management experience, optimally with a focus on social impact or development sector projects or alternatively demonstrated experience in community services, volunteering and non-profit sector passionate to make a difference in the communities in which UBS operates.
- excellent analytical and conceptual skills, a structured and result driven way of working, and a track record of implementing strategic recommendations in a business environment.
- outstanding interpersonal and engagement skills with the ability to build consensus across various levels of seniority, while gaining respect of senior management.
- proactivity and ability to take initiative with many stakeholders internally and externally.
- very high proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; ability to independently build high-quality presentations, documents, and spreadsheets.
- powerful communication with the ability to convey messages concisely and effectively, orally, graphically and in writing.
- high flexibility and proven ability to manage work independently and prioritize multiple challenging assignments and work well under pressure.
