Launch Girls (LG) is an international nonprofit that prepares adolescent girls for the world of work using entrepreneurial education. Within our flagship Girl Boss programs, girls experience the excitement of building entrepreneurial mindsets and 21st-century professional skills as they work on creating life goals, future plans, and business plans.

Why is this role Important?

We are looking for a Program Development Manager who can help us support girls’ successful transition from school to work through activities and information that engage and energize girls. This person will collaborate with our team to research and structure content for Girl Boss programming, new initiatives, and training interventions.

This includes paper-based and digital content and training materials for girls, facilitators, and other key stakeholders. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about girls' economic empowerment and has experience with program development and training.

Role and Responsibilities

● Conduct primary research (interviews, focus groups, and needs assessment) with girls, facilitators, and partners to better understand their experiences, likes, and dislikes of the program and/or to develop a new intervention

● Conduct secondary research on economic empowerment, entrepreneurial education, business concepts, and girl-focused future resources relevant to the intervention that is being designed

● Analyze feedback data and make recommendations for new interventions and improvements for the existing programs

● Research trends in instructional methods and educational technology

● Co-create frameworks and write chapters’ content for Girl Boss interventions.

Structure and scaffold information, activities, and resources to enable desired skill-building and learning outputs/outcomes

● Adapt existing curricula into digital formats - Understand the digital user journey and how to best display content and information on a digital platform

● Create training materials (frameworks, outlines, decks, worksheets) and conduct in-person and online training sessions with multiple stakeholders

● Coordinate with our group of girls and facilitators to co-create materials and receive feedback

● Help design evaluation criteria and tools that will inform the curriculum/program changes (former experience with M&E preferred)

Relevant Experience and Qualifications: You have / are

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Previous curriculum development and/or teaching experience (online or in-person) required (6-8 years)

● Previous economic empowerment/financial literacy and/or entrepreneurship/business experience (creating or running programs) or knowledge strongly preferred

● Creative mindset with meticulous attention to detail

● A critical thinker and proactive problem solver

● Able to work individually and collaboratively with flexibility, enthusiasm, efficiency, and diplomacy in a cross-cultural environment

● Able to periodically travel to different states and regions across India for research, needs assessment and/or training.

● An organizer who enjoys getting things done and is able to handle multiple priorities, multiple deadlines, and be flexible and responsive in addressing the needs of a fast-paced environment; self-starter and internally driven

● An understanding of the issues impacting girls’ economic independence globally and can demonstrate a commitment to realizing the vision and values of Launch Girls. Most importantly, passionate about global gender equity and improving the lives of adolescent girls around the world

Location: Virtual with occasional fieldwork (research, training) in India, based on the partner requirement

Duration and Start Date: This is a 12-month contract starting in November 2024. We are open to extending the contract based on the performance of the Program Development Manager.

Compensation: INR 80,000 to 1,00,000 per month commensurate with experience, and additional reimbursements for travel and outstation visits.
